Our first destination is the village of Oshakan, home to the resting place of Mesrop Mashtots, the pioneering figure behind Armenian script. Here, we'll explore the Church of St. Mesrop Mashtots. Continuing our tour, we'll venture to the Karmravor Church, also known as the Church of the Holy Mother of God - a unique architectural gem in Armenia boasting a rare red-tiled roof that stands as a testament to time. Following this, we'll visit into the Hovhannavank monastery complex, perched atop a breathtaking natural landscape. Wrapping up our enriching excursion, we'll conclude with a visit to another Armenian monastery complex, Sagmosavank (from the word sagmos - spiritual song).
