TRAVELING THROUGH TIME
Between the three main quarters of the 17th century Yerevan lay a separate zone – The Market Ghantar – a distinct venue for the travelers of the East and West to meet, connect and trade. The market got its name from the scales of the City Hall, where the wholesale was conducted. The smallest scale was called Mirza, and the biggest one got the label Ghantar.
Ghantar Market has only remained in the historical records of the city and in the memories of the few. But the best traditions of the past remain unchanged as Kantar Yerevan continues to host people from all over the world at the very same location of the historic Ghantar Market up to date.
CREATION
After studying market trends in 2014, we decided to blend the best of both worlds—hotel comfort and hostel vibes—under one roof. This pioneering concept of hybrid accommodation was the first of its kind in the region, allowing us to offer a unique value to our guests: a sense of belonging and an active social environment.
This concept allowed us to cater to a wide range of guest needs, from private apartment-style rooms for families to shared hostel dorms perfect for making new connections. Our common areas, including the kitchen and workspace, are thoughtfully designed to foster a welcoming environment and enhance the overall guest experience.

LOCATION
Kantar Yerevan is located in the heart of Yerevan, at Deghatan 10. Just a short walk from the city's top attractions and major shopping areas, it offers convenient access to a variety of amenities.
Nestled in one of the city’s safest neighborhoods, Kantar Yerevan is surrounded by government and financial institutions, as well as embassies. The building itself is a post-Soviet structure, making it relatively newer compared to many other buildings in Yerevan.
