Oshakan is a historic village in Armenia, located about 20 kilometers southwest of the capital, Yerevan, in the Aragatsotn Province. Known for its rich cultural and religious heritage, Oshakan is one of Armenia's most significant pilgrimage sites, as it houses the tomb of Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the Armenian alphabet.
