As part of this tour, we will visit the city of Gyumri and a number of landmarks located in it. Gyumri is the second city in Armenia in terms of population. Everyday life, culture and history are presented at the Dzitoghtsyan House-Museum of Social Life and National Architecture of Gyumri. Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God (or Seven Wounds) is the presbytery of the Shirak diocese. Holy Saviour's Church has a height of 48 meters, was the tallest Armenian church in Soviet Armenia and was distinguished by its style. Sev Berd or Black Fortress is a fortress from the times of the Russian Empire and is a national cultural heritage monument. Vardanants Square is the central square of Gyumri, decorated with fountains and a group of statues dedicated to the “Battle of Avarayr”. At the end of the tour we will head to the Cathedral of Aruch (Aruchavank) at the foot of Mount Aragats.
